County Down Crafts is an independent self-funding voluntary
organisation formed in April 1997 by a group of craftworkers
to promote the interests of its members through the development
of the craft industry. The group's membership is not limited
to County Down and we currently have members from different
areas through out Ireland.
Activities: Every month we publish a Bulletin to keep members
informed about news, group events, craft fairs, competitions,
exhibitions and business opportunities.
If you have any information which you would like us to include
in the bulletin contact:
Gail Kelly at gail@alganarts.com
We organise and run two major craft fairs each year, at Narrow
Water Castle at Christmas and at Castlewellan Forest Park
on Easter Monday. We hold a major selling exhibition each
year showing innovative and high quality craft work. We organise
events to both educate, entertain and enable networking. These
include members evenings on topics such as photographing your
work and social events such as a Christmas dinner and summer
barbecue. We have established this web site to collectively
promote the work of the group and individual members.
If you would like further information regarding inclusion
in the web site or if you wish to up date information links
ect. please forward information to Karen Shannon at karen@karenshannon.co.uk
